DBL insurance provides benefits to an employee who becomes disabled OFF THE JOB due to Injury, Illness, or Pregnancy.
General NYS Benefit Guidelines:
Employers with less than 50 employees:
- Benefit Maximum: $170 per week
- Benefit Duration: Maximum of 26 weeks
- Waiting Period: 8th consecutive day of disability
- Benefit percent of covered salary: 50% of the employee's salary
- Premium Based: Female/Male or Salary
Employers with less than 50 employees:
- Benefit Maximum: $350, $500 or $750 per week
- Benefit Duration: 26 or 52 weeks
- Waiting period: 8th consecutive day of disability
- Benefit Percent of Covered Salary: 50%, 60% or 66 2/3 %
- Premium Based: Female/Male or Salary
